SHE IS THE TECHNOLOGY
Kim Mac is a visual artist and actor who lives between London and Brazil. Impelled by a longing to express the substance of human experience, Mac began creating art in her early teens, writing short stories along with small scale illustrations inspired by the 1920’s and 60’s themes and culture. As she evolves, her artistry becomes increasingly distinct. Mac combines monochromatic fine-lined ink and illustrative techniques with the looser expression of paint and high-impact color placement. She uses this formal juxtaposition to convey meaning, evoke emotion, and explore various themes – such as femininity, power, the ineffability of consciousness, and the tragic beauty at the heart of our existence.
